My Philosophy of Education

The world has changed dramatically in the last two centuries and those changes only seem to be accelerating these days. Our society is more diverse, globalized and media-saturated. As Karl Fish (2008) said, we don't know what it is that we are preparing our students for. Thus, we need to help our students to become lifelong learners who build skills and knowledge throughout life. We want our students to become globally aware, to be critical thinkers and problem solvers, to master self-direction, to be creators, to be flexible and adapt themselves to different cultures and changes. My Professional Mission

Technology has become an essential part of American life, so much that we often take it for granted and believe that happiness depends on the thinness of our notebook computer or that the sleekness of our cell phone will transform our lives. I have seen technology at work in other parts of the world, places where the connection between better lives and bandwidth is more dramatic. I know how technology can truly transform people's lives and the importance of helping people to get access to it.
